Show happenings around Michigan

Going to a live show is a great way to make new friends, find new artists and take a break from campus life, but as much as I love going to concerts, gas prices and time constraints are always a consideration when driving out to a venue.  So to make things a little easier for you concert-goers, I have labeled three different sections of shows depending on how far the drive is going to take. I hope this helps and inspires you to check out a new band or support the local music scene. You have no excuse now that you have a list of upcoming shows!

Jackson Coffee Co. is a coffee shop, but the store also plays local music at 7:00 p.m. every Friday. The best part about this option is it’s free, sans the cost of your caramel macchiato. Here’s a line-up of upcoming events:

The Hub

The Hub is Jackson’s newest youth venue. It provides a place for Jackson-area teenagers to hang out and have fun. Wednesday nights are designed only for college students, and college students are encouraged to attend the shows throughout the week as well. They usually feature a good amount of local talent. Here’s the line-up:
