New thrift store expands in downtown Jackson

Attention Thrifters! There is a newly expanded consignment shop in downtown Jackson. The Hodge Podge Shop, owned by Andrea Ramp, is a local store in the area. According to their website, www.thehodgepodgeshop.net, the store offers customers quality, pre-owned merchandise at bargain prices.

With 2,700 square feet of merchandise one can find items ranging from petite to plus size, with new merchandise arriving daily. If you are considering selling your clothes to the store, The Hodge Podge Shop only accepts in-season, quality ladies’ clothing and accessories.

Everything must be on hangers and in ready-to-sell condition. Naturally, all items must be clean, pressed and smell fresh. There are no limits to the number of items you may donate, but if you plan to make a large donation, please call to make an appointment. The owners ask that you bring a minimum of five items with each consignment.

The Hodge Podge Shop sets the selling price, but you can stop in anytime and use the money you have earned as a store credit, or the owners will automatically mail you a check monthly for any amounts over $10. The store is open Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and is located on 329 W. Michigan Ave. in Jackson.
