Every day the Salvation Army in Jackson is asking for volunteers from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. to help with STARS, their after school program. They are also asking for volunteers to play with the youth at the open gym from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday. On Thursday they have basketball. The Salvation Army is located at 806 E. Pearl, Jackson, Mich. 49203.On Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. there is an opportunity to clean up the Falling Water Trail.

On Thursday, Feb. 9 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Student Center, students will be writing love notes to the people living in the Arbor Oaks Living Center located on Second Street in Spring Arbor.

Arbor Oaks is also looking for people who have musical talent to provide some love through entertainment to the people living there. To schedule a time, please call Arbor Oaks at 517-750-1905 and ask for Lindsay.

There is also an opportunity to spread love to the residents at the Arbor Manor Rehab and Nursing Center through musical entertainment or a simple presentation. To schedule a time, call Melissa at 517-750-1900, extension 112.
