I loved her voiced and she along with anyone that departs will be missed. I like the ceremony that was private, but also allowed her fans to see her off. I am very surprised to see Whitney's death mentioned on "The Pulse" and yet also very proud that people cared enough.

Thank you

I don't think the issue is censorship from authority figures so much as apathy among the student body. If people actually feel like they have things to say and want to express themselves, then they do so through whatever avenues they can, regardless of whether or not they fear that their expression will be "torn down or squelched". Most Spring Arbor students just don't care enough to create an alternative culture of artistic expression on campus.

I stumpled upon this place at an event at 624. While the coffee was decent, the places is a dump. Grunge workers, long hair, and people who don't shave. Explains the hair in my dessert. Great for the college kids, but not for me. I'll stick with Biggby Coffee.

I think you should have mentioned a couple of things. One, they only accept cash. Two, they close earlier on Saturday and Sunday. With that being said, it is one of my favorite places to eat around the Jackson area.

I agree, the definition of religion should have been established first, before Bethke went on to argue his points. He would get an F in SPE100.

I think Jeff Bethke is very well intentioned, and that his youtube poem is thoughtful and delivered in a compelling way.

I think that I'm not quite sure what religion is - does he/do we mean "THE Church" or "a church" or "the people in this denomination" or "the people who run this denomination" or "anyone who believes in God or a god?"

I think that some of Jesus' kingdom parables tell us that there will be evil within THE Church - within Christianity - all the way from its inception to the end of life as we know it. So THE Church will do stupid things, often.

I think that the response video of AmazingAtheist is trollish.

I think that THE Church or a church needs young adults and vice-versa, and to say that "I love Jesus but don't like religion or the church and therefore I am not attending any church" is just as unaccepting and Pharisetical an attitude as that of the Pharisees. FWIW, Bethke attends a Mars Hill church plant from the original Mark Driscoll Mars Hill.

Thanks for posting this article, Nathan.
